Amazon KDP training Ilorin

The second stream of the free Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, KDP, training organised by Craft Innovation Hub, CIH, in partnership with the Kuliyan Ngari of Ilorin Emirate Youth Mentorship Summit, KULNEMS, and supported by the National Productivity Centre, NPC, is ongoing in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The six-day intensive publishing programme, which runs from April 20 to April 26, 2026, is aimed at equipping aspiring authors and content creators with the practical knowledge required to write, package, and publish books on Amazon KDP.

Organisers said the daily sessions are being held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Craft Innovation Hub, located along Agbo Oba Road, Adeta, Ilorin.

The programme, described as a “6-Day Intensive Publishing Sprint”, is structured to move participants from book idea development to publish-ready output within a short and focused period.

Participants are expected to leave the training with a clearly defined book idea, an identified target audience, a structured outline of at least 10 sections, and measurable progress on their manuscript, whether they are starting a new project or refining an existing one.

As part of the second edition, participants are also being guided to develop a complete KDP listing package, including book title, description, keywords, categories, and pricing strategy.

The training further includes support on preparing a professional cover brief and developing a 14-day post-publication launch plan designed to improve visibility and boost early sales performance on Amazon.

The organisers said the initiative forms part of broader efforts by CIH, KULNEMS, and NPC to promote digital literacy, creativity, and self-publishing opportunities among young Nigerians.

They added that the programme is intended to help participants move beyond planning and begin taking practical steps towards actual publication in the growing global digital publishing space.
