Kwara Commissioner Champions Craft Innovation Hub as Pillar for Digital Growth and Youth Empowerment

The official launch of the Craft Innovation Hub in Ilorin marked a significant advancement in Kwara State’s drive toward digital transformation and youth empowerment, receiving a robust endorsement from the Honourable Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Damilola Yusuf Adelodun.

At the opening ceremony held in Agbo Oba, Honourable Adelodun emphasized the hub’s strategic importance, noting, “Today, we celebrate creativity, innovation, and the critical fusion of traditional craftsmanship with digital technology. The Craft Innovation Hub exemplifies our state’s commitment to developing future leaders equipped with modern skills and entrepreneurial spirit.”

Highlighting Kwara State Government’s dedication to becoming a centre of digital excellence, the Commissioner stated, “By investing in initiatives like this, we are actively building a vibrant ecosystem that promotes collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Our goal is to harness technology to address local challenges, create sustainable jobs, and enhance economic prosperity for all Kwara residents.”

Honourable Adelodun referenced the government’s successful track record with initiatives like the Ilorin Innovation Hub, which previously hosted an impactful Art Hackathon, awarding substantial funding to local creative talents. She stressed the importance of continuity and collaboration, stating, “Our past successes demonstrate that strategic investment in youth innovation yields tangible outcomes. We are confident the Craft Innovation Hub will further these efforts, supporting youth in acquiring critical skills to thrive in the evolving digital economy.”
